Welcome to Larga Vitae. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.largavitae.com (the "Site") and your purchase of products from Larga Vitae ("we," "us," or "our"), a small business based in Encinitas, California. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your state of residence, to make a purchase on this Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Products & Descriptions

We make every effort to describe and display our products accurately, including materials, dimensions, and colors. However, because our products are made from natural materials (bamboo, cork, natural rubber, coconut wax, plant fibers), slight variations in color, grain, and texture are normal and are not defects. We do not warrant that product descriptions, photos, or other content are entirely error-free. We reserve the right to correct errors and update product information at any time without prior notice.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Applicable sales tax will be added at checkout where required by law. Payment is processed at the time of order through our third-party payment processors. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or product unavailability. If we cancel your order after payment, we will issue a full refund.

4. Shipping

We offer free shipping on orders over $50 within the United States. Shipping costs for orders under $50 are calculated and displayed at checkout. Delivery estimates are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other events outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery of the order to the carrier. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us at info@largavitae.com within 7 business days of delivery.

5. Returns & Refunds

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Unused items in their original condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. To start a return, email info@largavitae.com with your order number. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item arrived damaged or defective. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of our receipt of the returned item. For hygiene reasons, used or opened items — such as used dish brush heads or opened pet waste bag rolls — may not be returnable.

6. Charitable Donations

We donate 10% of our profits to charitable organizations, including animal rescues and environmental conservation projects. The selection of recipient organizations, the timing of donations, and the calculation of profits are made at our sole discretion. Your purchase is not a charitable contribution by you and is not tax-deductible to you.

7. Product Use & Safety

Our products are intended for ordinary household use as described. Please follow any care or usage instructions provided. In particular:

Candles: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials. Burn on a heat-resistant surface and trim the wick before each use.
Yoga mats: Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program. Use of the mat is at your own risk.
Compostable products: Composting results depend on conditions in your home compost system. Follow local regulations regarding pet waste disposal; many municipalities prohibit composting pet waste for use on food gardens.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including the Larga Vitae name, logo, product names (including Baboo's Bags), text, photographs, and design — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written permission.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with the Site's operation, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or to submit false or misleading information.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including the websites of charities we support and our social media pages. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LARGA VITAE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some states do not allow the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Larga Vitae and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or products.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your purchase shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
